Special Discount from Amazon

If you sell on Amazon’s marketplace and sell Video Gamcs consoles, you can get a savings on the marketplace fees for the next six months.

The Amazon Video Games team is reducing the Referral Fee on sales of video game consoles for an initial 6-month test period. They are lowering the referral fee from 15% to 8% for orders received between August 4, 2009, and January 31, 2010.

You can get a complete list of ASINs and make any adjustments in prices that you need. Or you can download an Amazon Marketplace Calculator in an Excel sheet.

You do not need to change anything about your listings of the specified ASINs to qualify for this test program or the lower referral fee. All sales of eligible ASINs will be shown as normal sales in your Payments pages and on your settlement reports, but the fee calculations will be based on the 8% referral fee instead of the normal 15% marketplace fee.
